The Latin word for sage, "salvia," originates from the word "heal." Burning sage releases negative ions, which can enhance mood positively. To use, light one end of the sage smudge stick and move it around the space you wish to cleanse. After 5 minutes, extinguish the flame by blowing on the stick.
